Federal employees need career coaches. Will you step up?
We can make a difference
Right now, thousands of federal employees, contractors, and partners are facing abrupt job loss.
In February, the government led all sectors in cuts, with CGC tracking 62,242 announced layoffs across 17 federal agencies.
These are people who have spent their careers in service—people who were committed to their work, their communities, and making an impact.
And now, many of them are lost.
I don’t know exactly what this will become, but I do know one thing: this is turning into something much bigger than any of us expected.
Many federal employees didn’t see this coming. They didn’t prepare for it.
And they need us.
This is more than just career coaching. It’s about showing up in a moment of crisis. It’s about reminding people of their worth when they feel discarded. It’s about helping someone find their footing when everything feels uncertain.
There is a way that we, as career coaches, can help.
A Coaching Collaborative has mobilised nearly 1,000 career coaches to provide free coaching to impacted workers. We need more.
Here’s the ask:
✅ Commit to taking just TWO clients. That’s it. Two people who need career support, guidance, and hope.
✅ Sign up here to offer free coaching
That’s all it takes. But when we all step up, the ripple effect is massive.
And this isn’t just about a one-time effort. This is a movement.
It’s gaining momentum fast, and it’s going to turn into something much bigger than a coaching network. This is a place for us, as career coaches, to come together, share knowledge, and create real, lasting change.
Will you step up?
Will you be one of the coaches who makes a real difference?
I don’t know where this will lead, but I do know this: we have the power to show up for people when they need it most.
I’m in. I hope you are, too.
Sign up today. And if you know another coach who would want to be part of this, forward this email.
Let’s do this together.
With gratitude,
Heather
