As we approach the end of 2025, I’m looking back and reflecting on the year that's passed.

It’s so easy to get caught in the day-to-day of client calls, deadlines and emails that we forget to stop and look back.

Reflection sounds simple, but it takes real discipline.

I’ll admit, I don’t reflect as much as I want to.

I’d like to. Because when we don’t pause, we lose sight of just how much progress those small, consistent actions actually create.

When I finally did sit down to take stock of this year, here’s what I saw:

  • I’ve shown up on LinkedIn every single day for over a year. That’s 365 posts that educated, encouraged, and sometimes challenged the conversation around career growth.

  • The newsletter that you’re reading has hit a 49-week streak.

  • I was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award from my university.

  • I faced my fears and returned to public speaking after a long break.

Each of those things looked small in the moment, but consistency turned them into something bigger.

That’s the power of reflection: it reminds us that progress doesn’t always look like momentum.

Sometimes it looks like persistence.

If you haven’t done it yet, I encourage you to take 10 minutes this week to ask yourself:

What did I build this year, one small action at a time?

Whether you realize it or not, your daily work has already added up to something meaningful.

And since we’re talking about growth, let’s look ahead.
