Your clients aren’t ready for the AI shift. Are you?
Help your clients see the shift, own their value, and take back control.
White-collar work is getting steamrolled, and most clients don’t even see it coming.
A lot of people already feel like AI is coming for their jobs.
And honestly, they’re not wrong.
But here’s where the wake-up call really is:
AI won’t replace the irreplaceable.
The people who are going to thrive are the ones who know how to bring the kind of value AI can’t touch.
Not just faster or cheaper but more human.
And that’s where you come in.
As a coach, your job isn’t just polishing up résumés anymore.
It’s helping people see the shift happening underneath their careers — and figure out how to move with it, not get flattened by it.
Salesforce froze engineering hires because AI agents are already doing the work
Grammarly laid off 230 people — in a company built on human writing
SAP and UPS are automating tens of thousands of roles
Amazon. Snap. Duolingo. DocuSign. All trimming back, and AI is the reason
This isn’t a blip. It’s the beginning.
And if career coaching doesn’t evolve quickly, we’re going to be left behind too.
The value of coaching today isn’t in tweaking job titles or fixing bullet points.
It’s in helping people reimagine who they are in a workplace that’s being rewritten in real time.
And none of that matters if they’re not ready.
Now pause.
Because readiness doesn’t mean “learn ChatGPT” or “take a prompt engineering course.”
It means having the emotional intelligence and mental agility to see work differently and ask:
What does reinvention look like for me?
Most people resist that question.
They don’t want to admit that what worked for them for 10 or 20 years might not anymore.
I’ve seen it again and again. Clients who are bright, qualified, even brilliant…
and completely unprepared for the shift that’s already here.
They think their career history is a shield when it’s not.
Disruption doesn’t care how long you’ve been doing it. It only cares how fast you can adapt.
So what should you be doing as a coach?
✅ Raise awareness. Gently, but directly. Most clients don’t realize they’re in the impact zone until they’re deep in it.
✅ Support the mindset shift. Fear, imposter syndrome, denial, paralysis.
All of it shows up here. It’s your job to help them move through it.
✅ Teach reinvention. Not “personal branding.” Strategic reinvention.
Help clients uncover the human value they bring that AI can’t replicate.
✅ Focus on systems, not just search.
We’re not prepping people for this job. We’re helping them build a toolkit for whatever comes next.
Career coaching in 2025 isn’t about hacking ATS filters or perfecting LinkedIn headlines.
It’s about teaching clients how to think differently and take back control of their career story before they’re forced to.
We’re not in the business of comfort.
We’re in the business of change.
Let’s coach like it.
Best,
Heather
